***PROGRAMMING UPDATE***
Because of the forecast for high heat indexes and sustained winds on Saturday, we are moving the Drive-in Live Beach Bash fun indoors into The Mendel Center.
Pre-concert festivities - including music; the hula hoop, limbo, and trivia contests; food and beverage stations; and LMC Alumni Display Area - will be happening in the Mainstage and surrounding lobbies from 5:30 - 7 pm.
The concert by Gary Roland and The Landsharks Band will happen on the Mainstage at 7 pm with a dance zone in front of the stage.
- Masks are required indoors, regardless of vaccination status, unless attendees are in their socially distanced seats
- Purchased food and beverages may be brought into the Mainstage seating area. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
- A campus security presence will be in the parking lot during the event near the Classic Car Corner so car owners can enjoy the festivities
- A reminder that if you feel unwell on the day of the event, please remain at home.
Put on your flip flops as The Mendel Center is transformed into the ultimate beach party complete with Stage Side dance zone, contests, margaritas, cheeseburgers, and tunes from Gary Roland & The Landsharks Band.

About the band
After performing with Gary Roland & The Landsharks Band, Jimmy Buffett hired them to be the house band at Margaritaville. From there The Landsharks became part of beach music history. As one of the most popular beach bands in the world, The Landsharks have an impressive resume, including opening up for, backing up, and playing with Jimmy Buffett in concert, and opening up for The Beach Boys. The Landsharks have also played at The Super Bowl several times. Bring your lawn chairs to sit stage side or tailgate at your vehicle and get ready to celebrate summer with a Key West vibe!
